How Long Love condoms work

Erotim Long Love is a climax-control condom. It looks and feels like a standard lubricated latex condom, and the difference is in the lubricant: it carries benzocaine, a mild local anesthetic that is also used in throat lozenges and teething gels. Here is what that does, what it doesn't do, and how to get the most out of it.

What benzocaine does

Benzocaine slightly reduces sensation where it touches the skin. In a Long Love condom the lubricant sits on the inside, against the head of the penis, so sensitivity there is turned down a notch. For most men that means more time before climax without losing the feeling of being present. It is a dial, not a switch: the effect builds over the first few minutes and fades on its own afterwards.

What it doesn't do

How to use it

  1. Check the date on the foil. Every box we ship is long-dated, but it is good habit.
  2. Roll it on before any contact. Give it a couple of minutes; the effect is not instant.
  3. Start slower than usual. As sensation levels out you will find your rhythm. Most people say the second time they use one is better than the first, because they know what to expect.
  4. One condom, one use. Same as any condom.
  5. Wash afterwards so any leftover lubricant doesn't end up where it isn't wanted. Don't use a Long Love condom for oral sex.

First time? Try one on a normal night with no pressure. A small number of men find the numbing stronger than they like, or find it harder to stay hard. If that is you, a thicker standard condom may suit you better. Everyone else tends to come back for more, which is why this is the one product we built a store around.

About the product itself

There are other condoms sold under a "Long Love" name, including a Korean one from Unidus. Both use benzocaine, but they are different products from different factories. What we sell is the Erotim gold box, the one most of our customers grew up seeing in the Caribbean and West Africa and now have trouble finding in US stores.

This page is general product information from a reseller, not medical advice. Read the leaflet in the box. If you have a known sensitivity to benzocaine or other local anesthetics, or any irritation occurs, stop use and talk to a pharmacist or doctor. Condoms reduce but do not eliminate the risk of pregnancy and STIs.
